When you first look at it, you might think of modern feminism. You could say that this femaile lion can stand before the male and be a leader. But what it really means is that she is so secure, knowing who her protector is within her and behind her, she fears nothing.
This only works because God is at the center of the marriage. When God is not at the center, the woman desires control, but finding herself through Christ, she grows closer to God, and to her husband. Growing closer to God and in turn, to her husband. Growing in her faith, shes not afraid of whats in front of her, knowing God is her spiritual protector and has placed her hunsband in this world as a protector. As in, the unbrella visual... God covers husband, who covers the wife, who covers the children. We think we need control but when we seek God, we understand that what we really need, as women, is security. We need to feel secure to be able to handle all the things our lives... for all things to work together.
Embrace godly femininity in this dark world that tells you that "you can do anything a man can do." The enemy is at work, but God is at work and most powerful. Seek Him, give up control, and be who He has called you to be, NOT what the world tells you to be. We know what happened in the Garden of Eden when Eve had control. That is not God's design.
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28
"Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them."
Colossians 3:18-19 (interesting that the command to the wife is first)
